Domenic Barbiero
Domenic Barbiero, FCOA. FSA has worked at Eckler since 2002 as a Principal and consulting actuary with over 20 years’ experience. He leads Eckler’s Trusteed Plans consulting group and previously co-led the pension actuarial practice.
He specializes in working with multi-employer plans and consults on pension matters, including extensive work on funding and solvency valuations, plan design and restructuring, plan mergers, negotiations and administration. His experience also includes providing trustee education and frequently presents at plan membership meetings.
Dom is a frequent instructor for the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Foundation of Trust Management Program. He is a member of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario Defined Benefit/Target Benefit MEPP Advisory Committee and a member of University of Waterloo Actuarial Science Advisory Board. He has also served as a member of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries PEC Examination Committee.
He holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Toronto and is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
