Kevin Vadnais
Kevin Vadnais is Managing Information Security Consultant focusing on Strategic Cybersecurity services within Mandiant’s (now part of Google Cloud) Canadian Team. As part of the Strategic Services team, Mr. Vadnais provides Security Program and Cyber Response Readiness Assessments, Security Program Development and Transformation engagements for organizations and governments in Canada, the United States, and internationally.
Mr. Vadnais specializes in Governance and GRC strategic efforts within organizations and has extensive experience in designing and implementing fully functional programs aligned with NIST and other industry leading benchmarks. Policy and standard creation, metrics and compliance, risk, data governance, and privacy are a few examples of his areas of expertise. In addition, he has spent time in the Mandiant vCISO role in a variety of industries supplementing existing teams capabilities and providing leadership through difficult cyber security initiatives.
Mr. Vadnais spent the first 8 years of his career as a Firmware engineer working for Hewlett Packard. Mr. Vadnais entered the security field as an security analyst for the University of Lethbridge in 2009, where two years later, took on the role of the Manager, Information Management and Security Office. He helped design, implement and maintain an information security program in a challenging public sector environment.
Mr. Vadnais joined the Mandiant team early in 2020 and is enjoying the opportunities to engage with Mandiant clients in such a meaningful and impactful way.
He has a BSc Computer Science, University of Lethbridge, 2000; Certifications; CISSP, 2021; GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) and PMP – Project Management Professional.
